- Armorcaine is a topical numbing gel that is applied to the skin prior to getting a tattoo or laser removal. It produces temporary numbness or loss of sensation of the skin and its surrounding tissues
Why Armorcaine over other numbing products?
- Armorcaine is true to its word. Unlike other numbing products on the market, it provides a true numbing effect for up to and including 4 hours when applied correctly
- Does not tighten the skin when numb therefore creating ZERO issues for the artist
- Does not affect the color or ink applied to the skin
- All ingredients are locally sourced and manufactured locally 🍁
- Many products claim to numb the skin..we actually do it!
- A proprietary blend of all North American products combined with a patented formula that includes lidocaine
- Made with pride in Canada
- Produced In Edmonton, Alberta
- Due to it being a numbing agent, nitrile gloves are recommended when applying. Wash and clean the area thoroughly with warm water for maximum penetration of the skin.
- Dry off the skin.
- With the mixing stick provided, mix the gel thoroughly then apply a nickel-sized (2-3mm) thickness onto the area being tattooed
- Do not rub in as it is a gel, not a cream.
- Use cling wrap and tape to seal down the area once applied. The seal will activate the numbing process.
How long do I leave it on for?
- We recommend a minimum of 90 minutes for the gel to absorb into the skin and 120 minutes being the optimal time to reach its full potential before starting your tattoo session. Every individual's skin is unique and may need more or less time than others. At Armorclad Labs, we found that the magic number is 2 hours of it being applied and sealed with cling wrap on your skin. Leave it on until the artist is ready to put needle to ink!
- If you are using it for Microblading Eyebrows, all that is needed is 25-30 minutes of application time.
What If you have a large piece?
- We recommend splitting up large pieces into two 3-hour sessions.
- Wrap one section prior to getting tattooed.
- When the artist is about to begin tattooing, they/you will prepare the second section.
- When the artist finishes tattooing area one, the second area will be ready to go!
- We do not recommend ingesting. It can cause numbness in the throat and potential choking. If ingested, please consult a local medical professional immediately.
- Each jar is mechanically double-pressure sealed upon production. Once opened, it should be stored in a refrigerator. The product has an expiration date of 2 years once open.
- Frostbite is a fast-acting topical anesthetic solution formulated for tattooing to relieve pain and swelling on open skin during procedures. Provides antiseptic and soothing properties
When to use Frostbite and how does it work?
- Frostbite is to be used once the skin has been opened to help get through the session.
- With its anti-septic and anti-bacterial properties, frostbite can be applied numerous times over open skin safely
- By applying it to an area needed for 5 to 15 minutes, it works instantly to provide a numbing and soothing feel for up to an hour. Apply again when needed!
- Frostbite is composed of a proprietary blend made up of a 5% percent lidocaine base to include the soothing and healing properties of eucalyptus.
- Frostbite is made with all North American Ingredients as well as produced right here locally in Canada.
